Manchester United have reportedly made it clear they will turn down any transfer bids for Bruno Fernandes this summer.
Fernandes is preparing to enter his seventh full season at Old Trafford following a £47million move from Sporting back in January 2019.
In that time, the 31-year-old has consistently proven to be United’s shining light through the club’s ups and downs, while racking up 107 goals and 108 appearances in all competitions.
There have, though, been several occasions over the course of Fernandes’ stay at the Theatre of Dreams where the Portuguese’s future has been called into question, including last summer when he received – and rejected – and lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal .
According to the BBC , Galatasaray , Juventus and AC Milan are the latest teams ‘ready to test United’s resolve’ as they mull over possible moves for Fernandes.
All three clubs are determined to strengthen their midfield options before the transfer deadline and it’s claimed Galatasaray had a proposal they were planning to put to the Red Devils worth €50m (£42.7m).
But United chiefs have indicated that Galatasaray are ‘wasting their time’ trying to prise their club captain away and he will not be sold ‘at any price’.

United are yet to receive any formal offers for Fernandes and the report states the player himself would ‘prefer to stay’ put for the foreseeable future as he concentrates on the season ahead.
Fernandes has just 12 months remaining on his current contract in the north west, with the option of a further season.
Talks over a possible extension for Fernandes have thus far come to nothing but United’s hierarchy are understood to be relaxed about the situation.

Fernandes has made no secret of the fact he had hoped to have claimed more titles with United, telling ESPN back in June: ‘Obviously, I wanted to have won more, it wasn’t quite what I had expected for myself and for the club.
‘But I had very good times. We managed to reach some finals, some of them we won, others we didn’t.
‘But my goal has always been to win the biggest competitions and the Premier League is part of it. And I still have that dream in me and I hope to achieve it.’

Fernandes is relishing the chance to test himself in the Champions League again this season following an end-of-season resurgence under Michael Carrick, which saw the club finish third in the Premier League.
He added: ‘Of course, being in the Champions League, it’s the most important competition, let’s say, the competition where you can play against the most important teams in the world, in Europe
‘And it’s something that I want to do and I want to be at that level to play against the best and show that I can be at their level.’
Fernandes is enjoying his time under Carrick and believes the club’s upturn in results reflects the sense of ‘positivity’ that the manager has reintroduced after years of disappointment at Old Trafford.
‘I think he brought a very positive energy to the team, he tried to be very positive, because obviously we were in a moment of coaching transition, which is always a difficult time for the team,” Fernandes said.
‘He tried to be positive, obviously he brought new ideas and a different way of playing, which was also important for some players to find an escape to be protagonists again.
‘And it’s been good, obviously, because the results demonstrate that too. We hope that we will continue to do so.’
