AC Milan have made an offer to sign Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri with Ruben Amorim eager to bring him to Italy this summer.

Six months after being relieved of his duties at Manchester United, Amorim is leading a rebuild at the Rossoneri with seven members of the first-team squad said to have been put up for sale.

Portugal star Goncalo Ramos has already been recruited to lead the attack with Amorim keen to strengthen in a number of areas.

Nwaneri, among the clutch of players at the Emirates that Arsenal would be prepared to sell this summer, has also emerged as a top target with Milan making their first move this week.

Gazzetta dello Sport report an initial loan offer with an option to buy for €40million (£34m) has been submitted although Arsenal have not yet considered the offer.

Galatasaray have also held talks over a move for the Hale End academy graduate, who spend the second-half of last season out on loan at Marseille. The Turkish giants are eager to sign the 19-year-old and have also submitted a £38m offer for another Arsenal star in Gabriel Martinelli.

During talks over those two potential deals, Arsenal have also discussed the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray. It remains to be seen if any possible move could be tied to the futures of Nwaneri and Martinelli.

Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history when he made his debut for Arsenal in 2022, but it was not until the 2024-25 season when he established himself as a regular member of Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad.

Nwaneri made 37 appearances for his boyhood club that season and was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award while being rewarded with a new long-term contract.
