Trent Alexander-Arnold has no plans to leave Real Madrid despite Premier League interest

Trent Alexander-Arnold is not considering a January departure from Real Madrid despite interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.

The England right-back has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs after a difficult first season in Spain and increased competition for his position following Real Madrid’s signing of Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.

However, TEAMtalk reports that Alexander-Arnold remains focused on his career at the Bernabéu and has no current intention of returning to the Premier League.

Liverpool, where the 27-year-old spent his entire senior career before joining Real Madrid in 2025, have been contacted about a potential move, while Arsenal have also been approached. Manchester City and Chelsea have likewise been made aware of the defender’s situation.

Alexander-Arnold has started four of Real Madrid’s five La Liga matches this season and has provided one assist, although Dumfries has also featured regularly since his summer arrival.

The England international’s immediate future has come under scrutiny after he lost his regular place towards the end of last season and was initially omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad.

Despite the renewed Premier League interest, there is currently no active push from Alexander-Arnold to leave Madrid, with any decision on his future more likely to be considered at the end of the season.
