Welcome to Mirror Football's live transfer blog for Wednesday, August 12. With around three weeks remaining, the window is entering its final stretch for Manchester United, Liverpool and more to get deals over the line.

Arsenal have been busy so far this summer, adding Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis but failing to land Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid. The Gunners remain linked to Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, and versatile youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly is said to have been offered to Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Red Devils completed some fast deals to bring midfielders Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos to the club, but could still add another. They remain linked to Lewis Hall as Michael Carrick wants to strengthen his full-back options, and could also sign a striker if the opportunity arises.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Ronald Araujo to bolster Andoni Iraola's defence, having signed Spain star Victor Munoz earlier in the month. All eyes are on whether they can get a deal done for Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola before the deadline, however.

Netherlands international Memphis Depay has furiously taken to social media after being released by Corinthians. The Brazilian club cited financial reasons behind their decision but the former Manchester United forward has stunningly claimed that he already had an agreement in place with the side and they have reneged and are in 'breach'.

"Very disappointed to read that Corinthians decided not to honour our agreement in place to extend my contract for 2 more years," he said on X.

"This renewal was explicitly agreed upon by the president as well as the sporting, legal and financial department.

"Some people decided however to breach this engagement... I didn't want this situation and always respected the club throughout the process, but now I am forced to react strongly in order to preserve my interests.

Liverpool are in 'advanced talks' to sign Patrik Farkas, according to Anfield Watch, and the midfielder has even been spotted at the AXA centre.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to sign Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander, with rivals for his signature, Barcelona, unwilling to pay his release clause.

The Reds are understood to be in the market for a left-back and are considering alternatives for Lewis Hall, who Newcastle do not want to sell. Salinas, 19, has been linked with a move away from the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero.
