Second Hull City star flips car outside training ground after Thomas incident

A second Hull City star has flipped his car close to the Premier League club's training ground just weeks after Sorba Thomas was involved in a similar incident.
The Welshman was involved in an incident as he flipped his Land Rover Defender while driving down Millhouse Woods Lane. Two further cars were also damaged in that incident but he escaped unscathed. And according to Hull Live, teammate Lucas Gourna-Douath has also managed to roll his car while driving down the road.
Images emerged of the Mercedes on its side on social media, with it being understood that summer signing Gourna-Douath was driving. He has also managed to avoid any injuries.
A statement on Thursday afternoon read: “Hull City is aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near the club’s training ground and can confirm that no one was harmed in the incident.”
Millhouse Woods Lane is a very narrow street that leads to the club's training ground. Warnings have been issued in the past regarding the speed some vehicles have been going while travelling down the narrow road.

Local councillor Phil Redshaw visited the scene of Thomas' crash last month and told The Mirror that there had been “a few near misses” recently down the road in Cottingham, a suburb of Hull.
He added: “I wrote to the Hull City club secretary on Sunday asking them to remind players to be careful driving down the road because of the residents’ concerns. I wanted them to remind their staff to drive with extra care, because they get new players in every season.”
A statement from Hull in the aftermath of Thomas' original crash read: "Hull City is relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed following a road traffic accident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.

"The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed."
Both Thomas and Gourna-Douath arrived at Hull over the summer following the club's promotion to the Premier League. And they have helped the Tigers enjoy an impressive start to the season.
Sergej Jakirović's side sit eighth during the first international break of the campaign, having only lost one out of their opening five games - that defeat coming against Newcastle in their most recent outing.
Hull will be back in action in ten days' time as they welcome Everton to the MKM Stadium. They will then travel to Fulham in mid-October.
