If the club are genuinely building around Benjamin Sesko and looking for competition rather than a guaranteed starter, then Tresoldi becomes easier to understand. The bigger issue is the line about Joshua Zirkzee. United fans have seen too many windows where one move depends on another, and that often slows everything down. If an exit is required before progress can be made, there will be concern about timing.

There is also the Barcelona factor. When a club of that stature are “accelerating” interest, it can change both the pace and the price of a deal.
