Real Madrid will pay around €130-140 million for new attacking signing with agreement close

Real Madrid’s negotiations with RB Leipzig for Yan Diomande have been long and demanding, and was far from the cakewalk that was initially suggested.

While both clubs knew well that the transfer was bound to go through at some point, the German club kept pushing for better terms to milk the maximum financial gain possible from Real Madrid.

They now seem to have got their way, for the transfer fee speculated now is far beyond the €100 million to €120 million that was initially suggested.

An agreement is close

As reported by Mario Cortegana now, Real Madrid and Leipzig are close to reaching a full agreement with Leipzig over Diomande’s transfer following the lengthy negotiations in recent weeks.

Sky Sport bring to light the financial aspect of the said deal and report that Real Madrid will pay Leipzig a sum of around €130 million to €140 million for the young winger. That sum, needless to say, represents the whole package including variables.

Rumours in recent weeks stated that the structuring of variables was one of the conflicting points between the two negotiating parties, and it is possible that Real Madrid have made the variables ‘easier to achieve’ than they were in the initial proposal.

A signing to complete the attack

As Real Madrid near the completion of the Diomande saga, one simply cannot help but think of what the deal means for Real Madrid’s attack.

Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. have been carrying the team in the final third in recent years, but the right wing has always been an area where the club have lacked a threatening presence.

Once the Diomande deal goes through, Los Blancos will have a seriously threatening option on the right that can amplify the impact of Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. to make the team’s attacking department one of the most lethal in world football.

Needless to say, however, that dream will only be possible if Vinicius can reach an agreement with the club over a renewal.

The player is currently in negotiations with the club and an outcome is expected from the talks in the coming days.
