Another high-profile pre-season friendly for Man Utd after beating Atletico Madrid

Manchester United take on Paris Saint-Germain this afternoon in another glamour pre-season friendly.

Fresh from beating Atletico Madrid, Man Utd now face the European champions looking for another competitive test two weeks out from the start of the new Premier League season.

There should be a first appearance for summer signing Youri Tielemans, having been afforded extra time off following Belgium’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals.

This is PSG second and final pre-season friendly, before they take on Aston Villa in next week’s UEFA Super Cup. They lost 3-0 to Mallorca in their first run-out.

Manchester United vs PSG is scheduled for a 4pm BST kick-off today, Saturday, August 8, 2026.

The match will take place at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Luis Enrique's side head into the fixture after a 3-0 defeat by Mallorca, where several academy players featured. Illia Zabarnyi and Lucas Beraldo completed the full match, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made his return.

Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves and Vitinha have resumed training and could feature, although Achraf Hakimi remains a doubt. Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele are also nearing their returns after the World Cup.

Manchester United should fancy their chances of picking up an eye-catching victory, with PSG likely being without a number of key players.
