Jose Mourinho reveals previously unheard stories from throughout his career in a new documentary that’s available to stream for free. Filmed over two years, MOURINHO features never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews with ‘The Special One’ himself, going behind the headlines and touchline antics to chart the rise of one of football’s top managers.

In the three-part series, Mourinho talks candidly about the ups and downs of a managerial career that’s seen him win league titles in four countries and win the Champions League twice. He also reveals for the first time that he turned down the offer to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager in 2013, instead choosing to return to his beloved Chelsea.

MOURINHO also includes interviews with his friends, colleagues and rivals, including Chelsea legends John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Petr Čech and Eden Hazard. They feature alongside the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Iker Casillas, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Marcelo, Samuel Eto'o, Javier Zanetti and Luis Figo.

MOURINHO comes from two-time Oscar-winner and Beckham producer John Battsek, with Netflix billing it as ‘a portrait of football’s ultimate contradiction: the winner the game can’t live without, and can’t always live with’.

Here’s how to watch MOURINHO for free.

How to watch MOURINHO for free

MOURINHO is available to stream now exclusively on Netflix, meaning most viewers will need a subscription from £5.99 to tune in. However, the series can be watched at no extra cost if customers get a free Netflix subscription with Sky’s TV packages, which now start with the £15 Essential TV bundle.

As well as free Netflix access, this also includes 100 channels such as Sky Atlantic, with Sky Sports available as an add-on for £20. Netflix is also free with Sky’s new-and-improved £24 Ultimate TV bundle, which comes with free HBO Max, Disney+, Hayu and an extra 30 channels.

However, customers must sign up for a 24-month contract to get these prices, during which time the prices may change. Sky isn’t the only provider dishing out free Netflix, as Virgin Media offers a subscription with its own bundles, including the ‘lowest ever price’ Sport bundle.

Reduced from £56.99 to £52.99, this provides more than 200 channels, including nine from Sky Sports, plus 516Mbps fibre broadband. There’s a catch, though, as Virgin has confirmed the Sport bundle will rise to £56.99 from April 2027 and £60.99 from April 2028.
