Decision time approaching for Arsenal target as Gunners prepare to make approach for defender – latest transfer news
Real Madrid have increased their contract offer to Vinicius Jr with decision time for the Brazil forward approaching.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Real Madrid have upped their offer to Vinicius as they attempt to secure the Brazil international’s long-term future.
The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his current deal, with Arsenal continuing to monitor developments should negotiations fail to reach a breakthrough.
Arsenal are also ready to make an approach for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, according to The Daily Mail, while Bruno Guimaraes is set to undergo a medical after Arsenal agreed a £75m fee with Newcastle for the midfielder.
But one player leaving Arsenal is midfielder Christian Norgaard. Everton have completed the signing of the Danish midfielder, adding further Premier League experience to their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
Newcastle yesterday confirmed the appointment of Matthias Jaissle as their new head coach following Eddie Howe’s departure. However, the German looks set to lose one of the club’s most influential players almost immediately if Guimaraes completes his expected move to north London.
Meanwhile, Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore is edging closer to another loan move, with Bundesliga side FC Köln closing in on an agreement for the highly rated winger after positive talks with Spurs. Hayters first reported the German side’s interest in the teenager.
The Athletic report that Real Madrid have agreed a €140m deal for highly rated winger Yan Diomande.
The teenager had attracted interest from several leading European clubs before Madrid won the race for his signature in what will become one of the biggest transfers involving a teenage player.
But the Spanish giants are facing competition from fierce rivals Barcelona for Manchester City midfielder Rodri, also according to The Athletic.
