Chelsea take on Real Sociedad in their final pre-season friendly game this afternoon before the start of the new Premier League season.

The Blues are back at Stamford Bridge after their tour of Australia and Asia, winning two of their five games.

Chelsea won’t be leaving the country for the rest of the season with no European football on the agenda this term but it gives Xabi Alonso the opportunity to focus solely on the Premier League.

His side begin their season away to Fulham in a west London derby a week on Monday with today a final opportunity to welcome back some of those players returning from their World Cup breaks – including record signing Morgan Rogers.
