Arsenal set to finally break record for transfer sale as bid submitted for Martinelli

Arsenal could be on the brink of a new club-record saleafter Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray lodged a £38.4m bid for Gabriel Martinelli. Sky Germany claim the Istanbul outfit have tabled an opening offer for the Brazilian winger, with the Gunners contemplating the offer.
Mikel Arteta's men have already offloaded Leandro Trossard to Turkish club Besiktas and could be set for a complete new look left flank next season.
The Gunners have already brought in Christos Tzolis as a replacement for the Belgian international, the club are keen to further strengthen that area of the pitch — a move which could open the door for Martinelli's departure.
The Gunners boss has made no secret of his ambition to bolster his ranks this summer, with Morgan Rogers, Bradley Barcola and Vinicius Junior all being linked with a move to the Emirates, reports Football London.

As it stands, a headline signing has yet to materialise, though numerous transfer targets remain firmly in their sights.
Whether Arsenal will sanction Martinelli's exit before securing a replacement remains to be seen, but should the 25-year-old depart, it appears destined to be for a club-record fee.
The reported bid would surpass the current record sale, when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool for £35m in 2019.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Martinelli is Galatasaray's 'top priority' this summer, despite being linked with other big-name targets.
The Turkish heavyweights have also been connected with a swoop for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, who appears poised to depart the San Siro this summer.
The Portuguese winger had been loosely linked with a switch to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United amongst the clubs mentioned as potential suitors.
